An announcement by HBO has been confirmed - the third season of the multi-award winning hit series "Game of Thrones" will once again be shot in Dubrovnik.
Shooting of the popular fantasy series, which is based on the epic cycle of novels "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George RR Martin, has started in July of this year, while the production will continue to be based in Belfast and other parts of Northern Ireland, Iceland and Morocco.
The production company HBO released a short film - "In Production - Croatia", just before the start of the second season, which presented producers and actors and their impressions of Dubrovnik, for which they all said it was "perfect".
As reported and confirmed at a meeting of representatives of Embassy Films, which is preparing the shoot in cooperation with HBO and the Mayor of Dubrovnik, the production team and cast will be staying in Dubrovnik in late September and early October. They will shoot at several locations in the city and in the Arboretum Trsteno, which will certainly be reported by a number of foreign journalists and broadcasters, continuing the promotion of Croatia and Dubrovnik.
