Behind the title of this interesting exhibition
lies the story about ancient Crikvenica that is 2,000 years old.
Archaeological excavations at the site of 'Igralište' near the town's
football stadium, have confirmed that Ad Turres was the name of ancient
Crikvenica and that historical development of the town has been
enduring for more than 2,000 years. A local pottery workshop by Sextus
Metilio Maxim for the production of amphorae, consumer goods and
building ceramics, has been discovered and due to its good state, it is
unique on Croatian territory. The exhibition will present the results of
the archaeological research so far.
