Rijeka – A Rich Spring Offer on Kvarner






Spring in Rijeka offers numerous international events, but the most important one is the 18th International festival of Small Theatres (3-11 May). This festival of Rijeka is one of the favourite gathering events of theatre enthusiasts who nurture an unconventional approach to this art. Its name is a sign of provocation and curiosity on the international scene. Independent theatre production has been popular for a number of years, which has been recognized by the public, so it is not surprising that some of the best theatre plays of today are a product of these small creative theatre productions. So far, apart from theatre productions from all the neighbouring countries, Rijeka has also been visited by theatres from Great Britain, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and other parts of Europe.
