Maslinica beach Rabac

Maslinica beach Rabac

Rabac was once a fishermen village and now it is a famous tourist resort in Istria. It is situated on Istria's eastern coast in a nice cove with the pebble beach and rich vegetation.
The beginnings of tourism date here to the end of 19th century. Today resort offers many hotels, campings, private apartments and rooms.
Population of Rabac is 1.380 but can provide accommodation for up to 10.000 guests, but it still retains the spirit and atmosphere of the former fishing village. In addition, the town has a fine gastronomic offer, boat excursions, as well as excellent sports and recreational facilities.

Maslinica beach Rabac

Easy access, beautiful beaches and clear sea make Rabac one of the best holiday resorts for families, but lots of sport and entertainment facilities, including popular summer electronic music festivals, makes it popular among young people as well. Rabac is blessed with string of pebbly beaches, tiny coves, small bays, crystal-clear, clean and transculent sea water and lush Mediterranean vegetation north and south of the town. Four of Rabac's beaches have been awarded with the Blue Flag award.
Maslinica is a very attractive pebbly beach, connected to the hotel resort, but it serves as an public beach not only for hotel guests. The beach is located in a tourism area, surrounded by hotels (Mimosa, Narcis, Hedera - so called "flower" hotels according to its names), swimming pool and forest. It can be reached by a number of paths from Rabac and Labin as well. Wonderful promenade stretches all the way from Maslinica to Labin, a mediaeval hilltown, rich with historic treasures. Cars don't have access on the beach, but there is a parking lot in front of hotels.
Many beach facilities include restaurants, the swimming pool, bar, sport facilities, parasail, water-ski, jet-ski, banana rides, tubes rides, canoes and pedal boats, aquagan, beach volleyball, tennis, table-tennis, mini-golf, children' playground, kindergarten facilities etc. There is organized lifeguard service. The beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag.
