Beyonce named her daughter after a „blue“ tree from Hvar

Hvar
The world famous American singer Beyonce recently announced on her official website, that during their stay on the sunniest Croatian island of Hvar last summer, while taking a morning stroll with husband Jay-Z, they spotted an interesting tree and decided to name their first born daughter Blue Ivy after it. After little Blue Ivy Carter was born, many wondered where her parents got the inspiration for her name, which they even protected by copyright, and now this mystery has been revealed. "While walking this morning we came across this beautiful blue tree. I think it's called blue ivy. It will be very appropriate ", explained Beyonce in a private video recording, on her new website where she also published a series of photographs from her private life, including those recorded during the two summer holidays in Croatia.
The Dalmatian island of Hvar has been famous for its important strategic and nautical location, its various historical periods, cultural and natural monuments, and literature since the ancient times. Thanks to its mild climate, warm winters and pleasant summers it has been host to many guests, scientists and travelers who were attracted to the luxurious Mediterranean nature, rich tradition and nightlife. No matter what they are looking for on their holiday, tourists can find it on Hvar - nightlife and architecture of the cosmopolitan city of Hvar, boat trips to Pakleni Islands, sandy beaches near Jelsa, the combination of ancient and modern in Stari Grad, heavenly beaches under pine forests of Zavala, exotic southern slopes of the island in Ivan Dolac, Sveta Nedjelja and Milna, the ambience of "little Venice" in Vrboska, a ride through fields of lavender near Gdinja, Zastražišće and Bogomolje, quiet hidden coves around Sućuraj. This is only a fraction of impressions that are waiting for visitors on one of the world's most beautiful islands.
