Hvar, Vrboska-Soline beach

Soline beach, Hvar
Vrboska, a small town and harbour on the -northern coast of the island of Hvar, lies in a picturesque, deep cove surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and a forest of pine. Typical Mediterranean local architecture of small houses on both sides of the canal connected to old town houses from the periods of renaissance, gothic and baroque, as well as old churches on one side of the canal and rich villas on the other side gives the place special charm and warmth. Various accommodation facilities - hotels, apartments, campsites, fine restaurants and bars, as well as sports and recreation opportunities attract many visitors to Vrboska. Cultural events and entertainment are organized during the tourist season. Vrboska ACI Marina has 100 berths in the sea and 20 places on the land.

Most of that beaches are located on peninsula Glavica, 1-1.5 km from town Vrboska, 5 minutes far away with car. You can leave your car on beach "Soline" parking place (with lot of pine trees shade).
Beach Soline is main beach and lot of people from another places on Hvar (Jelsa, Stari Grad) are coming there. Beach is mostly pebbles, with rocky parts (nice rocks) with lot of pine tree shade. That is a reason because lot of families with small children are there. Beach Soline is on the southern part of peninsula Glavica.
There is nice beach restaurant where you can rest in the middle of day and drink or eat something, you can find also a diving centre and beach volley.
Rest of peninsula is for those who a bit of peace and quiet. 5-10 minutes walk from parking place and restaurant on another side of peninsula (northern side) you can find pretty rocks ideal for naturism. Read more about naturist beaches in Vrboska.
Those seeking romantic spots can find a perfect place in one of the coves north of Vrboska: Maslinica pebble bay with sandy sea bottom (15 minutes walking from the centre of Vrboska), Palinica, Lucina vala and others.
